Yakima Valley SCORE CHAPTER 664

SCORE SMALL BUSINESS AND SELF-EMPLOYED TAX WORKSHOPS

Free Workshops

SCORE and the IRS have arranged for three extremely qualified volunteers to present three free workshops.
  • On October 1st, Attorney Richard C. Smith, a SCORE volunteer counselor, will cover the subject of choosing a business entity. Smith has fifty years experience in the practice of law with primary emphasis in real estate, business, and estates.

  • On October 8th, Craig Anderson, CPA from Moss Adams LLP, will cover IRS Schedule "C", Sole Proprietors. Mr. Anderson has a Master's degree in taxation along with his B.A. in accounting and
    CPA designation.

  • On October 15th, Barbara Pool, CPA from LeMasters and Daniels will cover the vast array of employment taxes as well as state and local taxes faced by small businesses and their record keeping requirements.

Who should attend? Each session is limited to forty attendees. This should be a must for owners or prospective owners of small businesses. Bookkeepers and accountants employed by small businesses or providing these services to others will find these sessions invaluable. The cost for all these sessions is the same-----

they are FREE.

In addition, there will be ample time set aside for questions. ASK SCORE. You must preregister for each session. One call to the SCORE office at 509-248-2021 will insure your opportunity to attend these free workshops. Each session starts at 8:30 a.m. at the Greater Yakima Chamber of Commerce office at 10 N. 9th Street.
